Company Description
We are a Dubai-based multidisciplinary consultancy offering comprehensive engineering and design solutions with a focus on delivering exceptional projects across the UAE. Our integrated approach combines technical excellence with innovative design thinking, allowing us to create impactful spaces that meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
This role falls into a unique hybrid category — it's more than a traditional DevOps or IT Systems Administrator and stretches deep into R&D, automation, hardware prototyping, and emerging tech implementation. The best way to define this is to position it as a cross-disciplinary innovation enabler within your organization.
Role Summary
At Archiplexus, we are seeking a Tech Innovation Architect — a multi-disciplinary technologist who thrives at the intersection of IT systems, automation, machine learning, and creative hardware/software integration. This is not a conventional role. It is for someone who lives on the bleeding edge, sees challenges as creative opportunities, and can translate unstructured problems into working prototypes and production-ready systems.
This individual will have complete command over our infrastructure, from Linux servers and Windows environments to Docker containers, Raspberry Pis, and custom-built machines. You must be as comfortable setting up a Kubernetes cluster as you are writing Python automation scripts or wiring up an Arduino.
Core Responsibilities
- Systems Mastery: Build, configure, and maintain Linux/Windows hybrid environments.
- Automation & DevOps: Write scripts in Python and Bash, automate workflows, manage containers via Docker and Portainer.
- Security Awareness: Implement and review security best practices across all systems.
- Machine Learning Support: Assist in deploying ML models, GPU setup, performance tuning, and experimentation.
- Innovation & R&D: Rapid prototyping with Raspberry Pis, Arduino, edge devices, and microcontrollers.
- Infrastructure Control: Design custom servers, monitor performance, and keep systems lean, scalable, and secure.
- Project Execution: Own end-to-end execution of tech projects from ideation to deployment—even if it's unfamiliar.
- Full-Stack Awareness: Understand the relationship between backend services and frontend interaction points.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu preferred) and Windows Server ecosystems
- Strong grasp of Docker, Portainer, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with Python scripting and system automation
- Experience or interest in machine learning pipelines, hardware acceleration, or inference tools
- Capable of integrating and automating Raspberry Pi or Arduino-based systems
- Can prototype systems or tools never intended to work together — and make them work
- Highly independent, resourceful, and motivated by curiosity and challenge
- A continuous learner: always exploring what’s next
What Makes This Role Different
This is a builder's role for a maker at heart — someone who understands architecture not just in terms of buildings, but also in code, systems, and devices. Your work will influence how Archiplexus innovates, operates, and automates—from internal workflows to public-facing systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Application Question(s):
- Have you ever reverse-engineered a product or system to understand how it works? Tell us the story.
- Describe the last system or workflow you automated — even if it was personal. What tools did you use, and why was it worth doing?
- Tell us about a time you took on a project you weren’t qualified for — and made it work. What motivated you? What did you learn from the process?
- Imagine you are handed a failing container stack. No documentation. The company relies on it. Walk us through your first 60 minutes.
- You are given an Arduino, a sensor, and a monitor. The brief is to "make it talk to our intranet server." What's your approach?
- Describe how you’ve used a Raspberry Pi (or similar microcontroller) in a non-standard or creative way. Share the problem, your solution, and any unexpected outcomes.
