Position Summary
The IT Technician (Event Accreditation) will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of accreditation systems, access control devices, and related IT infrastructure during events. The role involves preparing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting accreditation software/hardware to guarantee seamless participant registration and access management.
Key Responsibilities
- System Setup & Configuration
- Install, configure, and maintain accreditation software and databases.
- Prepare and test hardware (laptops, printers, scanners, badge printers, access control devices).
- Ensure network connectivity for accreditation desks, kiosks, and mobile devices.
- Event Operations
- Provide on-site IT support during accreditation and event operations.
- Monitor system performance and ensure real-time data synchronization.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to minimize operational disruption.
- Assist accreditation team with badge printing, scanning, and access validation.
- Access Control & Security
- Configure and support access control systems (RFID, QR code, biometric, or barcode readers).
- Maintain data integrity and follow information security policies.
- Coordination & Support
- Liaise with accreditation managers, vendors, and event organizers to meet operational requirements.
- Train staff/volunteers on using accreditation systems and devices.
- Document system configurations, incident reports, and technical procedures.
Requirements
- Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in IT support, preferably in event management or large-scale operations.
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking (LAN/Wi-Fi), and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with printers, scanners, RFID/barcode systems, and access control devices.
- Experience with databases and event accreditation software (preferred).

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic event environments.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
